1. Unnamed game in the Badman series
All that we know about the game is that it’s under development and it’s in the “soup zone,” whatever that means…
2. Unnamed Bioshock game
Again, we have absolutely nothing on this game except for the fact that it’s coming and it’s not Bioshock Infinite
3. BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II Plus
Basically a tweaked version of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II that looks a lot like the console version. It has some extra goodies, like 6 new scenarios and online play (maybe 3G as well!)
4. Untitled Call of Duty game
The game was announced during a meeting and no details have been given on it yet.
5. Dragon’s Crown
Described as a multiplayer online adventure, the game will be developed by VanillaWare and will be a class-based dungeon crawler set in a medieval fantasy world. Expect to play the game sometime in 2012.
6. Dungeon Defenders
It will be the same thing as the PS3 game and players will be even able to experience the cross-platform play, all with super-duper visuals to complete the experience.
7. Dust 514
A very interesting concept brought in by CCP, the creators of EVE Online. Dust 514 will be set in the same universe and apparently will sync with the PC game. Also, it will be a PlayStation exclusive (appears on PS 3 and Vita only)
8. Untitled Dynasty Warriors game
Unfortunately, there are no details on this one…
9. F1 2011
It’s pretty obvious from the name that we’re talking here about a Formula one game. It will be developed by Codemasters and it will also feature a co-op season mode. More details to come soon.
10. Gravity Daze
All we know about this game is that it will be developed by Sony’s Japan studio. Nothing else for the moment, though…
11. Hideo Kojima’s Dream Game
Although an untitled project, it’s obviously exciting since it’s a Kojima game that will allow cross play with the PS3. Of course, other details were not yet announced.
12. Hot Shots Golf
Created by the golf-specialized Clap Hanz, this title will be, obviously, a golf simulator. But right now that’s everything we know about it.
13. Hustle Kings
This is an amazing pool game created by VooFoo Studios that will support all of the new features of the PlayStation Vita and also allow play against PS3 users. This will most likely be a launch game of the handheld and already looks like a title that you have to play. Just check out the detail level in the image below to see what I mean!
14. Untitled Killzone game
This one’s not a huge surprise, after all. But unfortunately, there are no details about it except for the fact that it’s under development…
15. Lego Harry Potter: Years 5–7
Created by TT Games, the final version of the game will also be released on the PS Vita and it’s based on the final three books of the Harry Potter series. It promises to capture everything that the movie and books are about and deliver fans of the series a truly unique experience, with the distinct humorous twist the Lego series is known.
16. Little Deviants
Created by BigBig Studios, this title is actually a collection of really fun mini-games that will test your skills and, most important, use all of the great new features of the PS Vita. From what I’ve seen in the demo of the game, this is really a must have title – and since it’s one of the launch titles, you’ll have to buy it!
17. LittleBig Planet
Well, I guess that this one’s not a surprise either. It delivers all the great and unique experience the LBP game on the PS3 does and, as expected, takes advantage of the touchscreen of PS Vita to deliver an unforgettable experience. Again, a must have for the fans!
18. Michael Jackson: The Experience
Announced for this holiday season and created by Ubisoft, the game will use the touchscreen of the PS Vita to help re-create the moves of the legendary Michael Jackson. 15 of his hits will also delight our ears – or better said your ears because I will totally say Pass to this one!
19. ModNation Racers
Another launch game of the PlayStation Vita, ModNation Racers will deliver tons of content to the fans since all the races created on the PS3 will be available from start. Add to that easy track creation using the touchscreen and truly amazing visuals, and you’ll get an unforgettable game to keep on your PS Vita.
20. Mortal Kombat Vita
Although no official details have been given on this title, NetherRealm Studios officially confirmed that they’re working on a PS Vita installment of the game and I am already excited thinking about the impressive gameplay the fighting genre can deliver with a touchscreen. Finish him!
21. Mr Ink Jet
Created by AQ Interactive, the game will allow you to become a character in the game thanks to its camera feature (you’ll take pictures of yourself – or anything you want to *wink-wink* to create your character). Also, you’ll only use the rear touchscreen to play what appears to be a very innovative title.
22 & 23. Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath
You might have played these games already on you Xbox and if you did, that’s about the same thing that you’ll get on the PS Vita as well, with cross platform cloud saving (the games are also coming to PS3) and the great sense of humor we’ve been used with in the series.
24. Rayman Origins
Zany visuals and an overall zany character set in the well known Rayman universe, that’s what we should expect to get from Ubisoft’s title. The game will also be released on Nintendo 3DS handhelds, so it’s really interesting to see what diferences (if any) will be between the two versions.
25. Rugby Challenge
Created by Sidhe, this will be a complex and complete rugby simulation that will come packed with tons of features, 93 teams and a multi-year franchise mode, plus some really impressive visuals (for the console versions). Probably the Vita version will be just as great – too bad that there aren’t actually that many rugby fans to enjoy this game
26. Ruin
Created by Idle Minds and Sony San Diego, this will be a Diablo-style action RPG for the PS Vita. It will come with a nice social element where you can help, hinder or even harm nearby players. You will also have lairs which will be protected by dungeons – the better you do in the game, the more impressive your dungeon. No release date is announced, though.
27. Shinobido 2: Tales of the Ninja
A very nice stealth game created by Acquire which will see you use the touch screen in your quest to becoming a lethal, silent assassin. The only problem is that at the moment of writing this article, the game is only scheduled for a release in Japan. Hopefully things will change soon.
28. Silent Hill: Book of Memories
The only thing that we know about this game doesn’t sound too good: “This game has not been concept approved by Sony Computer Entertainment of America.” Hopefully they forgot to put an “yet” in the end. Because, even though we don’t have any details, it’s a Silent Hill title and is certainly worth playing!
29. Smart As
Sony does care about the health and fitness of your brain and in order to keep it running at optimum values, they will release this puzzler that takes advantage of Vita’s touchscreen and gyroscope. From what I’ve seen, the game looks kind of last-gen, but we don’t need eye candy for a fit brain…
30. Sound Shapes
A really interesting conceptual game, this title created by Queasy games is both a musical instrument and a classic 2D platformer. This means that your in-game actions generate music and vice-versa. I’ve been a sucker for all these original games and Sound Shapes seems to be one of them. Bonus: it’s a launch title for the PS Vita!
31. Street Fighter X Tekken
There is no longer a secret that the Street Fighter X Tekken game is coming and we’ve also shared with you the news that the Infamous lead character will be a playable fighter. So Capcom will certainly provide us with some great quality here or else…
32. Super Stardust Delta
Create blackholes, launch swarm missles and slow down time in this super addictive game that’s already available on the PSP. However, the Vita version promises to deliver new game modes as well as precise twin stick controls.
33. Supremacy MMA
Created by 505 Games will deliver their title this fall and they promise that new features specific to the PS Vita will come together with the game. Of course, they didn’t give any proper details, but if it will be just as good as the console versions, I think that everybody will be pleased.
34. Uncharted: Golden Abyss
The exclusive PS Vita title (and also a launch title) is considered to be one of the early games that fully takes advantage of all the features of the new handheld. Just check out the image and you’ll see the high quality everybody is talking about. If you are to ask me, if there’s just one game to start with on Vita, this is it!
35. Virtua Tennis 4
The game promises to deliver the same high quality tennis simulation as its console brothers, plus some extra goodies possible on the PS Vita only. However, details are scarce at the moment so all that we can do is wait and hope for the best.
36. Wipeout 2048
Another launch game, Wipeout 2048 is played by tilting the handheld to steer your vehicle which is enough to get you asking for more. And more you will get: cross platform play with the PS3, voice activated weapons and incredible graphics.
And this should be it. 35 games is a pretty decent number, I would say, especially if we take into account that almost all of these titles are very promising to say the least.
If you have enjoyed this article (that took ages to be created), please take a few seconds to share it with the world – I will be really happy to see that my work is appreciated!
